Back from my summer break, Yes! Summer break in September, here I am again! Well, finally Summer arrived on the north of Portugal! August was a cold month. Very windy.

September entered quite nice! On the beach lovely weather! No windy days, such a wonderful time! The sea! Cold water, of course, no problem! And so relaxing to walk by the sea, feeling the freshness. 

Well, no more rêverie! It's time to the review of the most popular posts of August.

Remember how hard it is to swap those lazy summer days for early mornings? The classroom setting may have changed. Covid-19, masks, tests... but going back to school  feels like a chore.

Not so bad, right?! Relaxing time!

Good morning from the north of Portugal! This summer break is in Viana do Castelo  one of the most beautiful cities. Country side, Atlantic Ocean, beautiful and enormous beaches. And river side. Just perfect! Enjoying every bit.

It's my first summer break this year. The lockdown was long and I couldn't to do it early.

Every summer, I lke to come back to Viana do Castelo because we can enjoy different landscapes. The sea, the river and the mountain. 

The 3rd week of July, Viana do Castelo celebrates the most famous country fair and devoted pilgrimage. Not this year. Social distancing due the COVID19 pandemic. So, the celebration was cancelled.

The activities will be digital or on different places with social distance. Not the big annual event.

A dance school Arte em Movimento published this wonderful video with its students dancing dressed with ancestral costumes and honoring ancestral traditions. Coreography on Cynthia Erivo's song Stand-up.

Nice sunny here. The sun, a bit windy at the beach, and the nature. Well, it will be a good time, best vibes.

Summer break is obviously one of the best things humankind has ever come up with, I am excited! It's my 'first' break of this summer. 

Feeling so well at our country house! In the morning, we went to the beach. Nice weather, a bit windy, but nice temperature.

Tonight, we go to the city to coffee shop terrace. Tomorrow morning we will go to the beach, and then come back home.

Not so bad, right?! Relaxing time!

Pendant que certains défont la valise, moi je reprends la route des vacances pour mon deuxième petit break d'été.

Good morning from the north of Portugal! This second summer break not in the center of the country as my last one in July.

Perfect day admiring the river in front on me. 31 degrees? Wow! It's September now! Enjoying every bit.

Despite my best efforts to slow down time, only on September, as usual, I can go out for a little summer break! This time in Summer! Not in Autumn just like last year.

Andy Warhol, born Andrew Warhola, on this day 6 Agust 1928 in a two-room apartment at 73 Orr Street in a working-class neighborhood in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. 

He had a very particular personal style. He had a shock of white hair and was usually seen wearing a lot of black, leather jackets and glasses or sunglasses.

Andy Warhol is one of the most famous artists, ever. From his soup to his hair, he is an art legend.

Trained in commercial illustration and advertising, Warhol was intrigued by consumer culture and the power of pop-culture icons.

Warhol was part of the Pop Art movement. He was famous for exploring popular culture in his work, using brands like Coca Cola and Campbell's Soup (which was one of his favorite things to eat). He died on 22 February 1987.

Nine months before his death, Warhol created a series of iconic monumental self-portraits featuring his gaunt face, fixed gaze, and a spiky wig, some of the canvases measuring nine feet square.

Warhol liked to use bright colours and silk screening techniques to mass-produce artworks based on photographs of celebrities, like this famous image of Marilyn Monroe among other.

He didn't just do prints though, he made films, digital artwork, paintings and sculptures.

Warhol's studio was called The Factory, which was a reference to the mass-produced nature of his artworks.

He saw art as a product, the same as the clothes you wear and the food you eat. 

He loved Los Angeles, beauty and plastic, things that were modern and changed quickly.
