Google created the YouTube Creator Institute, a new media school for all kinds of content creators.
Based on YouTube and partening with US universities, Google launched a new media program series for aspiring filmmakers!
Course work will range from cinematography to social media strategy.
The video-sharing website announced it would launch the YouTube Creator Institute with the University of Southern California School of Cinematic Arts and Columbia College Chicago.
It says the schools will offer on-campus and online educational courses to its users so they can "hone their digital media skills and accelerate their YouTube careers."
The inaugural 'YouTube Creator Institute' programs begin in May 2011, only in the United States.
Inaugural classes at USC and CCC will have 10 students each. Applicants must be U.S. citizens at least 18 years old.
The YouTube-USC Creator Institute takes place from May 25 until June 22 in Los Angeles, CA. at the University of Southern California School of Cinematic Arts, in Los Angeles, CA.
And the YouTube-Columbia College Chicago's Television Department takes place on May 31 and ends on July 22, in Chicago, IL.
The candidates may apply online at YouTube Creator Programs from March 16, 2011 until midnight on March 25 2011.
