A Noite Europeia dos Investigadores (NEI) celebra-se na noite de 23 de Setembro, por toda a Europa. Eventos são organizados um pouco por muitas cidades e o público tem a oportunidade de contactar informalmente com os cientistas.
A troca de ideias e experiências contribui para a construção de uma imagem da ciência mais próxima do cidadão e para suscitar a curiosidade dos jovens pela investigação enquanto carreira profissional.
A primeira edição da NEI data de 2005. A Comissão Europeia, no âmbito do 7º Programa-Quadro para a Investigação e Desenvolvimento, promove e financia esta iniciativa que ocorre no mesmo dia em diversos países europeus e Israel.
"Através da realização de actividades que constituem uma boa alternativa ao típico programa de noite de sexta-feira, procura-se criar um ambiente propício à interacção entre a comunidade científica e o público, sejam jovens com interesse em seguir uma carreira na área, crianças e adultos curiosos, professores que procuram dinamizar as suas aulas, ou qualquer outra pessoa em busca de uma noite diferente."

Será efectivamente uma noite diferente para alunos. Seria imperdoável perder a oportunidade de fazer uma aula viva. Os professores curriculares Ciências e Física poderão acompanhar as suas turmas, e por que não solicitar o apoio de alguns pais voluntários.
Interessantes vídeos poderão ser visionados aqui Saliento, entre outros, Ciência e Cinema, já que os vossos alunos adoram filmes de ficção.
Será uma visão científica sobre alguns dos filmes que foram vistos apenas como ficção, quando a ciência está presente em muitos deles. A Ciência e o Cinema fizeram de muitos filmes verdadeiros referências.
Poderão também visitar a página do Facebook que disponibiliza a todo o momento informação sobre a Noite dos Investigadores 2011.

The Researchers' Night is a Europe-wide event bringing together the public at large and researchers once a year on the fourth Friday of September. This year it takes place on 23 September in over 800 venues of 320 European cities in 32 countries.
"During the "Researchers' Night# you will have the chance to discover research facilities that are usually not open to public (laboratories, research centres, museum collections), to use the most recent technologies and instruments with the guidance of scientists, to participate in experiments, competitions and quizzes, to watch demonstrations and simulations, to exchange ideas and to party with the researchers. For one night, everyone can be a scientist."

Certainly a different Sciences lesson if you and your students join other groups of students and educators that will be for everywhere to participate in such good pedagogical experience.
Let your students meet the real scientists, talk to them, make some curious questions, understand the real meaning of Science.

Don't underestimate social networks like Facebook profiles from a lot of European schools or Twitter profiles linked to #Researchers' Night 2011.
