One of the reasons we’re out pushing so hard on these projects is it’s important for people to see how good things can be when they’re not written by a computer,”

Producers as well as filmmakers attempted a whole new animation style that would one-up the previous Spider-Man: Into the Spider Verse (2018) which earned an Oscar for Best Animated.

Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse is a 2023 American computer-animated superhero film featuring the Marvel Comics character Miles Morales / Spider-Man, produced by Columbia Pictures and Sony Pictures Animation in association with Marvel, and distributed by Sony Pictures Releasing. It is a sequel to Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse (2018).

This time, Miles Morales catapults across the Multiverse, where he encounters a team of Spider-People charged with protecting its very existence. When the heroes clash on how to handle a new threat, Miles must redefine what it means to be a hero.

Miles Morales is a young teenager and a Brooklyn native. He's a bright kid who's been thrust into a new school and is having a hard time adjusting to this new environment. But he's having an even harder time adjusting to his entirely new and unexpected life as a Spider-Man. With the help of some surprising new friends, Miles learns to unlock the hero inside himself.

But when the heroes clash on how to handle a new threat, Miles finds himself pitted against the other Spiders and must redefine what it means to be a hero so he can save the people he loves most.

The film was released in the United States on June 2, 2023. For the world, 22 June 2023. However, here in Portugal, the Marvel animation is already at the theaters.

Education: The Narrative

That's we are! The narrative text across a Marvel comics. Wow! Here another Marvel saga to teach and learn the narrative. Please visit my publications about the narrative text.

Synopsis:

Miles Morales returns for the next chapter of the Oscar®-winning Spider-Verse saga, an epic adventure that will transport Brooklyn’s full-time, friendly neighborhood Spider-Man across the Multiverse to join forces with Gwen Stacy and a new team of Spider-People to face off with a villain more powerful than anything they have ever encountered.

Students can easily follow the narrative, generic structure, characters, action, grammar, and vocabulary.

Go to the theater with your students if you are teaching comics in the Narrative study

I think it's a awesome introduction to my review of the most read posts of May. Right?

Here are the most read posts of May:

Summer is coming! Oh! So nice! The weather is warmer, the Spring brought the flowers, and green trees for everywhere. Birds are happy! And we are happy as well!

My usual readers know that blogging is my free contribution to inspire new and young teachers, sharing some resources and activities no matter the subject, when I have the time between work.

Hope you enjoyed my pedagogical proposals published last April. May be you included some of them in your lessons? I'm happy!

Hope you  have a great week!

April rundown of the most read posts

Last Sunday, 3 May, Unesco celebrated the World Press Freedom Day. The theme highilited "Towards Better Reporting, Gender Equality, & Media Safety in the Digital Age."
Every year since 1993 which celebrates the fundamental principles of press freedom; to evaluate press freedom around the world, to defend the media from attacks on their independence and to pay tribute to journalists who have lost their lives in the exercise of their profession.

How nice! Google celebrates today Nellie Bly with a doodle honoring the 151st birthday of avant-garde journalist , and I cannot love it more!

"Throughout her life and career, Nellie Bly spoke up for the underprivileged, the helpless and minorities, and defied society’s expectations for women. We love her adventurous spirit, and we share her belief that women can do anything and be anything they want. So when it came time to honor Nellie with a Doodle, we wanted to make it special.

Karen O of the Yeah Yeah Yeahs wrote, composed and recorded the original song about Nellie Bly to celebrate this intrepid investigative reporter”

Doodler Katy Wu

Do yourself a favor and take a minute to check out this outstanding tribute

Two subjects - press freeedom and gender equality - both in one World Press Freedom Day that teachers can introduce into the curricula. Nellie Bly is a great topic to debate in the classroom.
Now, let's back to the theme of this post.

As well, at the end of every month I put together a list of the most popular posts of April. You will have posts written in English, French and Portuguese.

Wherever you are, I hope that those of you back to school last week, after Spring holidayhave the courage and enthusiasm to go ahead with new subjects.

As you know Finnish schools are embracing a radical approach to teaching. One major initiative is to encourage teaching by topic instead of by subject.

Nothing new. I teached by topics into curiculum last fifteen school years and students worked great. true!

Hope will you feel inspired in one or two subjects published on April on my blogI think so! Numbers are great!
