Harrison Ford "Lifetime Achievement Award"
Locarno Film Festival

"More than characters, they are movie icons: from the space smuggler Han Solo in the first Star Wars trilogy to the replicant hunter Rick Deckard in Blad Runner,  going through the sucessful sagas Indiana Jones."

The man who gave face and body  to all these movie heroes of our time, Harison Ford, received the "Lifetime Achievement Award" at the 64th Locarno Film Festival.

Harrison Ford holds the "Lifetime Achievement Award" he received from Locarno Film Festival artistic director Olivier Pere on Saturday night, August 6.

Despite the rain, Ford took the outdoor stage of the Piazza Grande prior to the European premiere of Cowboys and Aliens and faced a Piazza filled with nearly 8,000 people.

The actor thanked the festival and numerous filmmakers for letting him make movies “from time to time.”

"This award – announced last night – was not only a tribute that binds ideally all the interpretations of an actor that became a reference  model for many generations, but is also the admired celebration of an original collective imaginary movie piece in which we are grateful."

All cinéphiles, all spectators remember watching movies interpreted by Harrison Ford.

Cowboys versus Allien the last movie based  on the 2006 graphic novel of the same name created by Scott Mitchell Rosenberg.

"Harrison Ford glowered. Daniel Craig glared."
