The 8th UNESCO Youth Forum, the International Student Identity Card Association (ISIC) has launched a youth photo competition!
The 8th Youth Forum will take place in Paris, October 29-31, 2013 at UNESCO’s Headquarters in Paris, to exchange views, share experiences, reflect together and, above all, identify common preoccupations and problems.
Building on the opinions and proposals of youth though an online consultation, the theme of this 8th edition will be “Youth and Social Inclusion: Civic Engagement, Dialogue and Skills Development”.
"As such, it will discuss youth civic engagement issues and the ways in which youth can engage in building democratic and sustainable communities. It will also look into the skills and competencies for young people to successfully enter the active life and to put their innovation, creativity and entrepreneurialism into practice. In addition, the debates at the Forum will include a focus on challenges related to social inclusion and intercultural dialogue."

Who can participate?
Anyone aged between 15 and 26 can participate.
Number:
Every participant can submit up to 3 photos.
Prize:
The winner will receive 500 euros.

The photo(s), a short description of each image (50 words or less), age and where participants are from

All entries must be received by 12:00pm (CET) Friday 22 October 2013.

Education:
Why not invite your students to participate at the "International Youth Photo Competition"?
It is an interesting activity for Secondary Education, Vocational Education, even Higher Education.
At the same time educators can open a discussion about Youth and Social Inclusion, skills development in the new job market, in the course or online forum, or on social media networks such as Twitter, Facebook, Google +.
It would be fantastic if the oldest students (Vocational and Higher Education) start a Hangout on Google + by inviting some students from a different college or school.
