May in Review & L'heure d'hiver au Canada arrive ! Resources

After this important introduction , about Fall Back Time in Canada here my review of the posts May & June 2025.

Here are the popular posts of Ma
y & June 2025:

International Museum Day !

International Day of Peace ! Resources & Activities

Education:

Three important themes to include into your school curricula : Time in different countries, Arts and Peace.

Time ! Sometimes, students don't have any idea about the difference of hours in other countries outside their own country.

In Europe is easier for European students because we have the European Union. But in other countries that don't belong to the EU or countires in different continents...

So don't forget to include this theme into your curricula. it will be important if you make school changes programms or pen friends programms between your students and student from other countries.

Cindy Sherman at Serralves Museum

ArtsI do remember a long time ago, I included museums visits into my curricula at school and students loved very much.

They began to see art in a different way. And the way they transmitted how they looked the objects they were admiring astonished the guide who was conducting the visit in classical way. So he began to talk to the students, asking them what they were seeing in their own interpretation.

Peace! Talk about the urgent need for understanding, non-violence. Challenge discriminatory language in your school with your students.

Peace is not only a noble vision for humanity, it is a call to action. Each of us can heal divisions and embrace peace and understanding. We can call on our families and schools to do the same.

Speak up, learn, practice respect, embrace diversity, protest injustice. Be the change you want to see! Begin in school !

Peace and Arts together, embark on a journey to understand and learn in a new regard about modern ways to transform the way people must fight for a better world.

My usual readers know that I write in French as well. Blogging is my free contribution to inspire new and young teachers, with some activities no matter the subject, when I have the time between work.

Hope you enjoyed my pedagogical proposals published in this publication and included them into your lessons.

Please, help your students to make this world a better place to live !

I hope that you are having a great weekend !

The Opening Ceremony Paris 2024

The Opening Ceremony of the 2024 Olympic Games will be bold, original and unique. On 26 July 2024, Paris 2024 will offer an Opening Ceremony that is certain to join the most memorable moments in Olympic history.

A Ceremony on the River Seine

Taking on a new guise, the parade of athletes will be held on the Seine with boats for each national delegation. These boats will be equipped with cameras to allow television and online viewers to see the athletes up close.

Winding their way from east to west, the 10,500 athletes will cross through the centre of Paris, the overall playing field for the Games on which these competitors will display their sporting prowess over the 16 days.

Education:

Invite your students in-person lessons if you are still in school time, or by social media if you are out-school and ask them to follow their athletes and country teams to prepare sport projects and activities next back-to-school.

We are all excited! Don't you? I am! Two days left. The mascots Phryges are very happy, see?

Ok. So it's time to end this introduction of the rundown of the most read posts in May.

Here are the most popular posts of May 2024 :

Well, it's school-out in the European countries and other continents. We are at the end of July. The weather is magnifique to go to the beach. A bit windy but with 32o degrees Celsius is much better to go to a park of the city and stay fresh among trees.

Meanwhile I wish all my usual readers wellbeing and a very good time to go on holidays.

However, don't forget to watch the Open Ceremony on the Seine, of Paris 2024 Olympic & Paralympic Games, next Friday, 26 July.

I will be back posting some ideas and educational resources very soon.

Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse is a 2023 American computer-animated superhero film featuring the Marvel Comics character Miles Morales / Spider-Man, produced by Columbia Pictures and Sony Pictures Animation in association with Marvel, and distributed by Sony Pictures Releasing. It is a sequel to Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse (2018).

This time, Miles Morales catapults across the Multiverse, where he encounters a team of Spider-People charged with protecting its very existence. When the heroes clash on how to handle a new threat, Miles must redefine what it means to be a hero.

Miles Morales is a young teenager and a Brooklyn native. He's a bright kid who's been thrust into a new school and is having a hard time adjusting to this new environment. But he's having an even harder time adjusting to his entirely new and unexpected life as a Spider-Man. With the help of some surprising new friends, Miles learns to unlock the hero inside himself.

But when the heroes clash on how to handle a new threat, Miles finds himself pitted against the other Spiders and must redefine what it means to be a hero so he can save the people he loves most.

The film was released in the United States on June 2, 2023. For the world, 22 June 2023. However, here in Portugal, the Marvel animation is already at the theaters.

Education: The Narrative

That's we are! The narrative text across a Marvel comics. Wow! Here another Marvel saga to teach and learn the narrative. Please visit my publications about the narrative text.

Synopsis:

Miles Morales returns for the next chapter of the Oscar®-winning Spider-Verse saga, an epic adventure that will transport Brooklyn’s full-time, friendly neighborhood Spider-Man across the Multiverse to join forces with Gwen Stacy and a new team of Spider-People to face off with a villain more powerful than anything they have ever encountered.

Students can easily follow the narrative, generic structure, characters, action, grammar, and vocabulary.
